Submit Your Question

Every question is read. Selected questions are answered on air in our Q&A episodes — your first name and pool type may be mentioned on the show. If your question is urgent, note that in the details field.

By submitting, you agree that your first name and question may be referenced on the Pools Scientific Podcast. Your email is never shared and is used only to follow up if needed.

How It Works

Questions are submitted here, read by John personally, and selected for Q&A episodes based on relevance, audience applicability, and chemistry depth.

Q&A episodes drop quarterly — Episodes 5, 13, 18, 26, and more throughout Year 1. Subscribe to the email list to know when your question may have been answered.

Questions involving safety, urgent water chemistry issues, or equipment failures may receive a direct email response before the podcast episode.

Good Questions to Ask

“My CYA is at 60 ppm and I can’t seem to hold chlorine. I’ve been adding shock every other day. What am I missing?”

“My plaster is two years old and already feels rough. My pool company says the chemistry is fine. What should I test for?”

“I switched to a salt system eight months ago and my third cell just failed. What’s killing them?”

Specific, detailed questions make the best on-air answers. Test numbers, equipment type, and what you’ve already tried all help.
